Hands Across the Water was set up by Peter Baines, a former NSW Police Officer sent to Thailand following the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami. He was so moved by the devastation that he set up the charity Hands Across the Water with a commitment to support children in Thailand.

One of the unique aspects of the charity is that 100% of what people donate to Hands Across the Water goes directly to the children. No donor funds are spent on marketing, staff overheads or administration. The charity remains absolutely committed to ensuring that every cent donated is used to enhance the lives of children

Hands Across the Water runs an annual charity bike ride in Thailand, known as “The Big Ride”. The Hands Classic was the first charity bike ride raising money for Hands Across the Water taking place in Australia and was the direct result of partnering with Kwik Kopy Australia.

Kwik Kopy Australia was proud to be involved in the 2013 and 2014 Hands Classic, and our staff are currently in training for the 2015 event.

For more information on Hands Across the Water and how the money raised from the Kwik Kopy Hands Classic has been utilised, visit the Hands Across the Water website.
